Lara Joy Interior design

Lara Joy Schilhansl (1999, Germany) is a Copenhagen-based designer with a background in architecture. Her work moves between spatial thinking and a hands-on approach to furniture and object design. She develops her work through an intuitive and visual process, focusing on how materials, simple construction, and function come together.

Her designs aim for clarity, allowing objects to resolve through their structure and use, while embracing subtle moments of play. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Furniture Design at the Royal Danish Academy, graduating in 2026.
