Heartbeats
The Amason x Dante spot for Hjärtebarnsfonden is built around a profoundly personal and symbolic idea: turning a child’s literal heartbeat into music. The campaign, titled “Heartbeats,” features Amason covering The Knife’s iconic track of the same name, but with the unique twist that the rhythm is driven by the heartbeat of Dante, a one-year-old born with congenital heart defects. Every beat of his heart becomes part of the song, transforming his condition into both a metaphor and a soundtrack.
For Ibanez, the project was more than professional - it was deeply personal. His niece was born in 2017 with a similar defect, and he witnessed firsthand how such a diagnosis reshapes not only a child’s life but the emotional fabric of an entire family. He has said the goal wasn’t just to highlight the medical challenges, but to capture the strain, resilience, and tenderness that ripple through families in these situations. Choosing “Heartbeats” as the song was deliberate: it bridges vulnerability and vitality, letting the audience feel the fragility of life while celebrating its persistence.
The campaign raises awareness for Hjärtebarnsfonden (the Swedish Heartchild Foundation), which supports over 2,000 children born each year in Sweden with congenital heart defects. Beyond awareness, all proceeds go directly to the foundation, ensuring the story of Dante - and countless others like him - turns into concrete support.
It’s an ad, but also a living portrait: music, story, and heartbeat fused into one.
