AML Office
- ArchitectAndreas Martin-Löf
Michael Ubbesen Andreas Martin-Löf is known for his refined minimalism, where calm atmospheres emerge from precise proportions and honest materials. In the studio’s own office, this sensibility is translated into a workplace that feels both disciplined and welcoming. The kitchen especially stands out with its painted cabinetry and stainless steel countertop, and its timeless clarity and functionality strongly appeal to me.

The AML office
The redesign of the AML offices reflects a careful balance between history, innovation, and craftsmanship, resulting in interiors that are both functional and full of character. Rounded corners in walls, cabinetry, and furniture, along with robust glass partitions and dual-function radiator covers, reference the International Style of the original building while bringing it into a contemporary context. The result is a workspace that honors its architectural heritage while offering new life and relevance.
The eight-story building, originally designed by architect Ture Rydberg, now houses both the offices and a private residence. The ground and first floors accommodate around thirty workstations, two conference rooms, two kitchens, a library, meeting rooms, and a dedicated material gallery. Each space has been carefully crafted to provide a functional yet inspiring environment—one that supports collaboration, creativity, and the pursuit of striking architecture and design.
