Amanda Kramer is a trailblazing filmmaker who was named one of Indiewire's "Directors Who Will Define the Next Decade." Her latest film, BY DESIGN, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It’s an fatalistic fable about a woman who turns into a chair. The film stars Juliette Lewis and Mamoudou Athie, with narration by Melanie Griffith. Her previous film, PLEASE BABY PLEASE, starring Andrea Riseborough, Harry Melling, and Demi Moore opened the 2022 International Film Festival Rotterdam before winning Outfest's Grand Jury Prize.
